The following lessons focus on memory and self reflection and builds to learning and understanding a framework for collective and participatory action for democracy. Lessons require close reading and discussion of multiple texts - excerpts from published pieces, song and interview. The teacher facilitates and supports the process by which all students can analyze and develop a deep understanding of the texts and connections to themselves using multiple learning styles, including kinesthetic movement.
